Why empower women ?
Companies should clearly set the goals about women empowerment , the training and focus areas should also be based on the improvement of their life and not only for certify and acknowledge women .There should be active change implementation other than giving women responsibility roles ,I do not mean about there should not be managerial position but making decisions and creating new ways of doing things are often still held by men who are always assigned to overlook the actions. There should be a way of direct engagement and communication between what is needed to be achieved and what women want to do with all these trainings and empowerment activities .
The lack of awareness creates gaps in the community of work space and affects work flow . The way we empower women activates the motion that brings forth changes in the way we do things everywhere ,if we set boundaries we may lack the changes we desire.
How to Empower women?
There are experts in this area but i am just going to write only what i perceive.
1. Give them opportunities to get the required Education - when i say education not just basic litracy but the real ways of manufacturing, business and marketing, promotion, know how of end to end not just the gist. Some of the trainings and education are just part of it and not able to equip women to get full information specialy regarding owning a businesss and get to the successful place they are /ought to be expected.
2. Give them the roles of Leadership- Yes this is important because we find new ways and changes sometimes women are good sometimes not but no one can tell if they could do it or not without the opportunities.
3. Give Support/opportunities to participate and engage- If you educate a women and dont allow to engage in decision making then the system could easily fail by 50% chance . Most rules and regulations and products ,systems are designed without thinking about women or not considering that women could be the active users/implementers then the system fails. For example there are many shows on air that talks about empowering and engaging women but the programs do not reach women because they do not find the right means to advertise their shows/progrmas to women who are busy to feed families.
We have to think of new ways and those do not come without engaging women .I would like to Hear your comments on this . Please let me know.
